I decided to stick with the original exterior facade design but to create an enclosed courtyard with the U-shape of the added section. I also chose to extend the outer balcony to have more patio space for collaborative outdoor working and socializing space. The first floor has the most group-oriented open spaces, with spaces such as the cafe and the maker space. The second floor has an open space allocated for a student gallery and other studio classrooms. Lastly, the third floor has a combination of classrooms and meeting spaces that facilitate group work and collaboration for anyone who uses these spaces.
