The additions that have been added was to encourage outdoor activities and increase the sunlight entering the building. A patio area with a walkway from the side door had been added in the rear of the building to encourage people to eat outside and spend time with coworkers. By adding more sunlight to the building and outdoor space, the designers hope that the building would be considered a Green building and meet several requirements to attain sustainability certifications. Specifically, fitwel, Living Building Challenge, and the Internation Well building Institute has wellbeing certifications that should be met. By focusing on Biophilic Design, users of the building can be more connected with nature and more greenery can be added to the patio to reduce stress and enhance creativity.
