Please add to our community thinking by posting a few inspirational analogies of your own between the systems that you typically find in biological organisms and similar systems that we often (or should) find in buildings.
Think creatively about all the systems and features that allow creatures to survive, thrive, and adapt to their environments!
One analogy I thought of was the comparison of daylighting in buildings to the eyes. Animals have eyes of all different shapes and sizes to let light be perceived as information that all have specific advantages and disadvantages. Similarly buildings provide daylight to it’s occupants though various window and skylight styles that also have various advantages and disadvantages.
