Key Findings from the Interview

  • Do you think sustainability can be incorporated into daily spaces?

My interview partner is highly convinced that there are plenty of ways to incorporate sustainability in daily spaces. She mentioned as example houses that are built from wood with windows arranged in a way that no heating or cooling systems are required at all.

  • Would you mind living in a wooden house?

She mentions that as long as the house is safe and resilient she wouldn't mind at all living in it. In addition, she wanted to illustrate the fact that wooden houses might look more aesthetically appealing.

  • Do you think wooden houses are easier or harder to implement?

She believes that they are not that hard to be implemented. They were the first form of materials humans used to build their houses. Thus creating houses from such material with the current technology won't be hard. In addition, structural beams or reinforcement can be incorporated with wooden structures to further reinforce them.
