Alonso Vargas

Hello everyone! My name is Alonso Vargas.

• I’m Mexican. 🇲🇽
• Currently, I’m a pursuing a MS in Sustainable Design and Construction at Stanford.
• I did my BS in Civil Engineering back in Mexico.
• I’m passionately curious about finding innovative ways in which collaboration, education and technology can improve the quality of buildings.
• I have experience both as a Lean Construction Manager in big infrastructure projects in Latin America, a lecturer teaching construction management classes and an NPO volunteer managing affordable and sustainable solutions in marginalized communities in Latin America.
• Really passionate about sustainability, nutrition, sports in general and education.
• During my free time, just as almost everyone in the Bay area, you can find me running, hiking, hanging with friends, playing board games or reading.
