Installing the ETABS Application

Important Notes: The ETABS application requires a computer running Windows 10 or 11 on an Intel or AMD processor. Based on our testing, it also appears to run successfully on a M-series Macintosh computer running Parallels VM. Before you get started on the installation, contact the Global AEC teaching team (or your class teaching team) to add your email address to the database of authorized Cloud License users.
  1. Download the latest version of ETABS using this link:

    You may be asked to log in to the CSI America customer center using your authorized email address to download the installer file

  2. Run the installer and select Cloud Sign-in on the License Option screen.
    3. 💡

    You might have to run the installer twice if Microsoft .NET 8.0.4 Desktop Runtime is not already installed on your computer. The first time, the installer will install the required .NET framework.

    Choose the Destination folder on your computer

    IMPORTANT: Choose the Cloud Sign-in License Option
