Path of Travel

You can create a Path of Travel line showing the shortest distance between 2 selected points in your building model.

Workflow

Create a Path of Travel Line

  • Open a floor plan view.
  • Open the Analyze > Route Analysis > Path of Travel tool.
  • Click two points in your building model.
    • The first point specifies the start of the path.
    • The second point specifies the end of the path.
  • A Path of Travel line will be displayed showing the shortest available distance between those points.

Tag the Path of Travel Line

  • Load the Path of Travel Tag
    • Open the Insert > Load Family tool.
      • Then navigate to Annotations > Path of Travel Tag.rfa
  • Open the Annotate > Tag by Category tool
    • Click the Path of Travel line to add the tag that displays the path properties.
