The Terrain Pad tool allows quick and intuitive terrain editing directly within Forma Site Design.
- Create terrain pads or pits by drawing a polygon and defining its elevation.
- Adjust slopes using ratios, percentages, or manual controls with live visual feedback.
- Instantly evaluate cut and fill volumes and overall site mass balance.
- Early terrain analysis helps estimate earthwork costs and supports better planning decisions before detailed design stages.
Editing the Terrain
Select Terrain Pad from toolbar.
Trace the outline of the desired area.
Adjust height by clicking the center point or in the right toolbar.
Adjust the terrain pad settings as needed in the right toolbar.
The metrics show you the pad volume and the total mass balance.
