Using the System Summary Spreadsheets

You can ask Claude to generate system summary spreadsheets for each of the systems that it creates. These typically include:

  • Summary: system info, element counts, pipe length by run and level, pipe length by size, fittings by type and level, and heads by room and level. These are all formulas off the detail tabs, so they update if you edit the data.
  • image
  • Pipe Schedule: every pipe segment, with its Revit element ID, run, size, length, start and end points, height above the floor, and orientation.
  • image
  • Fittings: every tee, elbow, transition, and cap, with size and location.
  • image
  • Sprinklers: if included, with their tag, room, and the elevation of the pipe connection.
  • image
  • Equipment: if included, for example — the FDC.
  • image
  • Design Notes: the layout rules Claude followed, plus the open items from the modeling work — things to follow up on.

What to Verify

  • Review the assumptions used to design the system to ensure they’re accurate and align with your design intent.
  • Check the OPEN ITEMS at the bottom of the list. These are items that Claude has identified as needing further action to improve the accuracy of the model.
