I performed dimensional analysis to quantify the unit cost of specific components. I converted the structural steel to price per cubic yard based on the assignment specifications. For the structural floor, I assumed a 20% structural steel to 80% concrete cost ratio. I found this value in cubic yards and converted it to square feet using the 5” floor thickness. Similarly, I assumed the walls were concrete and converted the price in cubic yards to square feet using the 8” wall thickness. Within the summary report, I added a grand total by summing the totals of each category.
