Description
This research station takes advantage of an open plan that combines the lab, work, and common areas into one. The channel in the middle allows for some sense of separation between work and more casual areas and the placement of the storage has intentional proximity next to the lab area. As these three spaces are those that will be occupied most often, they have floor-length south-facing windows that will allow for natural light to come through and give the otherwise small spaces a sense of openness. I placed the storage and restroom in the bag of the plan because they do not require access to windows. The flat roof will allow for ample space for solar panels to be placed.
