Description
My building is a 29.5’ x 21.5’ that prioritizes having a spacious interior as well as natural light from large windows. It includes an ADA compliant bathroom as well as an 8.5’ x 11’ storage closet. There is another outside access door that leads to the storage room that can be used in case of emergency. I wanted to make sure the researchers had ample space to work so I included a large L-shaped counter/lab bench with a sink. There are four desks positioned so that each has sufficient space surrounding it. The meeting area is also situated in the corner to allow for two large white boards to be mounted on the wall. Furthermore, I made sure to slant the roof so that photovoltaic panels could be installed at a later date.
