Hi everyone!
I’m Emily and I’m a second year CEE Master’s student in the Atmosphere/Energy track. I graduated from the University of Waterloo with a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering but have since pivoted from the traditional environmental engineering paths to focus more on energy and sustainable building design.
Over the summer, I worked with the US Green Building Council to address and develop solutions to market barriers for LEED v5 adoption and gained more familiarity with the LEED v5 rating system and all the work that goes behind developing a green building standard!
I also previously did some building energy modelling in RETScreen and EnergyPlus through course projects and a previous internship and wanted to get more into 3D building modelling, as both skills are important to have. I am excited to learn more about BIM tools like Revit through this course and put that knowledge into practice through the modelling assignments.
