Hi y’all! My name is Ian and I’m a sophomore majoring in sustainable architecture + engineering with a minor in urban studies. This summer I biked 3,500 miles across the U.S. teaching architecture to kids k-12 and am very thrilled to be joining the AEC industry at such an exciting time being on the forefront of innovation in sustainable design & community-driven projects that mediate major issues such as gentrification, unaffordable living, & climate change. Last year I was the lead architect for Stanford’s seismic design competition team where I designed a 38-story multifunctional high-rise using Revit but only had the time to discover a glimpse of the possibilities that Revit has to bring an idea to life, so I’m excited to strengthen my 3D modeling visualization skills through this course!
I’m also a volunteer mentor with the local Palo Alto ACE Mentorship Program where I expose high schoolers to careers in the AEC industry and help guide them as they design an end-of-year building capstone project!
