Hi people. I’m a sophomore studying Sustainable Architecture + Engineering. I’m interested in sustainability and energy efficiency (which I think 99% of people here are too). In past years, I worked at UC Riverside’s Center for Environmental Research and Technology, collecting particles from tire wear and exhaust. It was a formative experience, but also made me want to pursue architecture more. To be honest, I enjoy making physical models more than software modeling. But I do appreciate the infinite possibilities that working on the computer offers. I have used SketchUp for architecture competitions before, and some of my other design software experience include Rhino 3D, Enscape, and some Revit, which I’m sure will improve much much more after this course. Aside from all the serious architecture and engineering stuff, I play classical guitar in Mariachi Cardenal, Stanford’s “best and only” mariachi group. I love collecting vinyl and going to concerts, the most recent one being Daniel Caesar in SF. I am also somewhat cracked at golf, having played it for about 8 years. I’ll be teaching beginner golfers at Stanford Club Golf’s range socials, so if you want some swing tips come find me :)
