Hey there! I’m Stara and I’m from Miami, FL (#caribbeangyal). I’m a junior studying Sustainable Architecture & Engineering, with a minor in Dance. I’m drawn to architecture for its inherit interdisciplinary nature, especially the way it connects design, urban studies, and engineering. My true desire is to build, build cities, build communities, and help give people access to the resources (tangible and intangible) they need to thrive and live a fulfilling life. I am also an art junkie and love anything in the arts whether visual or performing, though I do have a special place in my heart for performance arts. I consider myself to be a professional multi-hyphenate and multi-passsionate person, so I like to engage in varying experiences that will give me deeper insignts into embodiment. I enjoying building and making cool things, creating beautiful systems, I love dancing and movement, I am a makeup artist, and I practice martial arts. All mediums can be used to communicate things that words often fail to express, and I believe architecture is no different, so I hope to add it to my tool belt of skills to continue putting meaning to this elusive thing called the human condition.
