Different in results because the revit model is more specific compared to forma in terms of materials

Design memo of 300 to 400 words: what survived the handoff, what you rebuilt, what assembly choices you made and why, and where Revit and Forma disagreed.
Everything made it through pretty well. t some rooms weren’t aligned, which was my fault. I ended up fixing it but it took me forever. I kept setting the bottom walls for the ground floor - top floor and didn’t know how to use it so a lot of mistakes were happening. Ultimately at the end I understood better how to use that tool, but it was a learning curve. The stairs and elevators made it on the plan, but the 3d didn’t extend all the way to the top so I had to manually do that. Revit and Forma disagreed on the carbon analysis, the revit one was higher, which makes sense because it’s more specific. For construction of walls there were areas in forma where I didn’t close the room and revit just didn’t include it. Another thing that didn’t make it through correctly were the stairs. Although they made it into the plans in the correct spot they didn’t show that in the 3d model. I had to manually extend all the stairs to the top and even then revit made them go past the roof for some reason (will be asking for help with that). The walls I chose to make for the tower portion of the exterior was due to researching the type of materials used in buildings in San Francisco, so I worked around that. The curtain walls I just chose because it looked cool to me and you will notice that I used the curtain walls instead of regular wall, but it is over the R-19 minimum if you click on edit wall and look for curtain panel you will notice I made a custom system panel which has a U of 0.05 and R is equal to 1/0.05 which is 20.Â
