11/4/26: The 15 Marina Blvd, San Francisco site is mild, and heating dominated. It is located beside a marina and will experience cooler marine winds and fog. It has about a 50% window-to-wall ratio, a wood-frame structure, and exposed concrete slabs for thermal mass. Each apartment ventilates through operable windows in mild weather and a central energy-recovery ventilation system. Individual apartment heat pumps will be used for heating and occasional cooling. However, the majority of cooling is expected to be passive due to the typical San Francisco climate.
