List your three or four guiding design goals using this format for each goal:

Goal 1: Maximize the natural light inside the building

• Measure:  Amount of indoor area can be lighted up by the sun
• Targets:
• 30% of indoor area can be exposed under the sun every Day.
• Strategies:
• one design strategy that I’d like to explore in my design to achieve this goal
• a second design strategy for achieving this goal

Goal 2: Passive design to allow wind through the building

• Measure:  wind simulation model?
• Targets:
• reduce 20% of the building cooling system required.
• Strategies:
• design for channels that allow the wind to go through.
• Create shadows for area people use the most.

Goal 3: reduce 30% of energy needed compared to traditional buildings

• Measure:  solar energy generated
• Targets:
• reduce 30% of the building energy required.
• Strategies:
• Install solar panels on the roof and PV glasses that can store the energy.
