My overall building layout is one that blends in with the landscape. It does not exceed two floors and the central building is one floor. The shape is designed to promote the public’s interaction with the outdoors/nature through the central courtyard and by splitting the exhibits between the two l-shaped buildings. The building core locations are on opposite sides of the building in order to ensure egress path access on either side. I also wanted to keep the elevators, stairs, and mechanical rooms close together so that open space could be maximized for the exhibits.
