- your plumbing system elements
I placed one toilet and one lavatory sink in each room because of the space constrains. For each men’s room, I also install a urinal.
- your piping systems
I designed cold water, hot water, sanitary, greywater collection and greywater supply systems.
Considering the number of toilets and urinals, I chose 5” Copper - K for main sanitary pipe, and 4” Copper - K for horizontal pipes.
Vertical pipe
-Cold water: 2” Copper - K
-Hot water: 2” Copper - K
-Sanitary: 5” Copper - K
-Greywater collection: 5” Copper - K
-Greywater supply: 2” Copper - K
Horizontal pipe
-Cold water: 2” Copper - K
-Hot water: 2” Copper - K
-Sanitary: 4” Copper - K
-Greywater collection: 4” Copper - K
-Greywater supply: 2” Copper - K
- any special plumbing system challenges that you encountered and how you overcame them
To install plumbing system, I made some space by putting new interior walls in restrooms because the walls next to restrooms are structural walls and difficult to penetrate pipes. I was not able to make enough space to coordinate sanitary pipes connecting to one vertical pipe. Therefore, I decided to place two vertical lines for sanitary and greywater supply.
