• Hi everyone! My name is Jiarui Li, and I am a first year graduate student in the Sustainable Design and Construction program. I am from Shenzhen, a city in the southern part of China, close to the more famous city Hongkong. I finished my undergraduate bachelor’s degree in University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Materials Science and Engineering and minoring in Electrical Computer Engineering, and Art & Design. I have always been interested in achieving low-carbon distributed power generation in urban systems. This course will be an exciting opportunity for me to learn more about design of urban system, and motivates me to study deeper in energy efficient building.
