Hello everyone. My name is Louisa Gan, and I am a second-year graduate student in the Structural Engineering and Mechanics Program. I graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. For the past summer, I worked as a structural engineering intern at an engineering consulting firm in Boston. I performed structural designs for buildings and used Revit to draft floor plans and construction details, which I enjoyed doing. The reason why I am interested in this course is that I will be able to use BIM tools to model and analyze building systems, which will be beneficial to my future work. My goal for this course is to get better at BIM modeling and have fun.
