In general, I aimed to keep support columns away from walkways to better merge with the architectural vision. I positioned columns near exterior walls and around the shafts for the stairs. I chose to go with a steel support system as it can support loads over greater distances than the wood. This allowed me to reduce the number of support columns needed for my structure. The shafts are clear of support material, and I modified the beam offset so they do not collide with the floors. I added beam systems between the primary beams to support the floors and roof.
