The most memorable exhibition spaces I’ve been to are:
- One World Trade Center (9/11 Museum in NYC)

- TeamLab Borderless (Visual Arts “Museum” in Tokyo)
- The Independence Hall of Korea
For each, there are common themes and traits that stood out to me while I was there (and in retrospect) that set them apart from other experiences or places I’ve visited. They each were:
- Spectacular and awe inducing
- Unique (in terms of purpose or presentation)
- Inclusion of natural elements (e.g., water, sunlight, scents, sounds)
- Immersive (when you’re there you’re not thinking about anything else)
- Good flow / tailorable to user preference (e.g., you can move about the space how you please, only visit areas or read about the things that pique your interest… etc.)
- Able to convey significance and connect to people emotionally or spiritually regardless of their race/gender/age/life experiences… etc.
