My strategy was to use the metal framing because the beams have a max span of 50', which would allow me to not add intrusive beams in the hallways. I was very careful to keep the structure mostly out of sight, as it was my view that the architect wanted lots of open spaces in this building. Sightlines are mainly clear. I managed to avoid placing columns where anyone would need to walk, and I didn't obstruct the stairways or the atrium. The main clashes with the design are the beam systems with the walls, which go all the way to the ceiling. There was not a lot of space to add the systems under the floor, as the levels are only 12' tall. This is something that could likely be fixed in a conversation with the architect, establishing where they want the structure to be visible and where I should put the systems.
