Essentially, I spent time building a grid that aligned with exterior walls as well as the atrium and stair opening. Once that was done, it was not too challenging to add structural columns at the intersections and beams connecting them. It was a little challenging to create beam systems in a couple of slots because they would have covered an area that shouldn't be covered, but all I had to do was sketch a few manual systems instead of using the automatic tool. (Also sorry I used the wrong sized beams I'm just now realizing!)

During the walk through, I noticed that I could have done a little bit better of a job aligning the columns with some of the walls, and I accidentally had one beam blocking a small part of the north stairway on the second floor. Otherwise, everything looked pretty good. I think I could try to maximize the distance between columns a bit so that I could take a few that are hanging out in open space away so that they don't block open areas.
