For this exercise I decided to go with the wood frame structure to try to blend the elements within the walls. The columns dimensions were 30x50 cm (12x20 in) and aside from the perimeter columns, they were all oriented to face its longest side to the longest span. Most of the grids are located on the center of the walls.

For this exercise I could not make it possible to meet with the designer's intent for the facade. To avoid having a span longer than 25 ft, some columns had to be placed in the windows path and in a corridor.

It could have been designed to not include that column in the corridor by increasing the beam's dimensions in that area, placing it just in the 2nd floor. However, for the purpose of this exercise and the 25 ft maximum span length, I decided to keep the column.

As for the floor openings like the stairs, atrium and elevator, they were supported by beams and columns.
