I chose to implement a steel framing system since I thought it would be an interesting visual element in the building as a whole. I chose a grid system with minimal columns, though there are a few when the maximum span of 50' couldn't be shortened. Overall I don't think the structural columns take away from the visual appeal at all, if anything they are a nice accent to the open workspace.
