Approach to the assignment:

For this module, I created a grid of points from which I centred several cylinders. The height of the cylinders is determined by their distance to each pebble and is a function of a sine wave. I amplified the effect of the sine function on the height of the cylinder in order to exaggerate this effect.

Comments:

When working with multiple pebbles, it seems that the “heaviest” pebble creates the largest wave at impact. However, as you move farther from the impact point, we can observe some wave cancelling/adding effect. Some crests and dips are larger than expected as a result.

In this example, I chose the place the pebbles randomly to show the beauty of randomness. My computing power did not allow me to have a larger grid, but I imagine we would have obtained some pretty interesting wave patterns!
