Santiago Ossa

Hi everyone, I’m Santiago, a first-year master’s student in Sustainable Design and Construction. I’m from Bogota, Colombia where I completed my schooling up to graduating from high school and then completed a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering at Tufts University. I have spent the last 6 years working in the San Francisco Bay Area as an environmental consultant in remediation projects and in new developments. Prior to starting my degree at Stanford I spent a year in rural Colombia building my dream tiny cabin.

I am looking forward to exploring parametric design tools through this course and getting an understanding of the many applications parametric design can have in creating our built environment - from designing the smallest bracket to designing the facade of a skyscraper. I am excited to apply what I learn in this class both in my other courses at Stanford and also in my professional endeavors afterward.
