The Calatrava Agora Athens Olympic Sports Complex is an impressive architectural structure located in Athens, Greece. Designed by the renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, the complex was built to host the events of the 2004 Summer Olympics.
The complex consists of a roofed plaza, which covers an area of 25,000 square meters and serves as a venue for various sporting and cultural events. The structure is supported by a series of steel arches that are arranged in a circular pattern, with the arches rising to a height of 80 meters above the ground. The roof itself is made of a translucent material that allows natural light to filter through during the day, while at night, it is illuminated from within, creating a stunning visual effect. In this exercise, I refer to a tutorial to start modeling by Dynamo and explore new functions.
In my point of view, It is quite difficult to get familiar with the functions in Dynamo to create the model. However, the methodology of object modeling is similar to the other modeling software such as Rhino or Revit (from baseline + profile+set workplane+ extrude or loft) In my opinion, it will take me more time to get familiar with the tools. The import function is very useful to import that model into Revit, creating a seamless workflow
