my approach for this assignment involved first modeling the surfaces, then making sure the u and v panel inputs were formulated in such a way that the output would be multiple panels. originally, the way i was creating the parameters was making the u panels round down to 1, which was allowing the image to be translated to the surface but not accurately, it was just a big blotch of colors. Once i fixed those inputs i was able to map the image to the surface accurately. For stage 2 I followed a similar process, the big difference being that I had to remap the image sampler values to be able to extrude the blocks based on the image. Unfortunately, the image sampler process crashed grasshopper on my computer multiple times, so creating changes to the code became very time consuming. The image for stage 2 was taken at a weird angle (because the computer froze).
