The modeling approach for the three projects was relatively similar. For each case, a grid was constructed with scaleable and changeable dimensions. Objects, including cubic and cylindrical features, were placed at grid nodal points. By constructing a shiftable attractor node and using distance functions, it was then possible to adjust the height of the objects using proximity to the focal point, which was chosen to be varied via a sin function to create a smooth rippling effect, rather than a more angular or uniform gradient.
