MS Sustainable Design and Construction

Hi - I’m Luis, currently studying my master’s in SDC with a focus on structures. I have my bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Tec de Monterrey in Mexico. After that I worked as Structural Coordinator for a few years at a GC in Queretaro; our portfolio was primarily based off of low-rise, industrial buidlings. There I used a BIM workflow including VBA to design, review, and document steel, RC, and masonry design scopes. I’m interested in this class because I toyed with the idea of Dynamo to further optimize my design workflow, but seldom sat down to implement. I’m keen on learning best practices of Dynamo and developing the flexibility to also handle Grasshopper. My interests beyond the classroom include: cooking, playing/watching sports (anything rackets), reading (fiction & non-fiction), outdoors (hiking/fishing), regional mexican music, museums, and hanging out with friends.
