Sustainable Design and Construction, Energy concentration
Hello! You can call me Rizka. I’m a first-year master’s student in Sustainable Design and Construction, with a minor in Energy. I completed my undergrad in Indonesia, where I grew up. If you’ve ever visited Indonesia, you’ll understand why I chose civil engineering, especially with a focus on sustainability. My most favorite part of being a civil engineer is working with 3D design tools (BIM), because it allows me to explore creativity while still being technically grounded. I started using ETABS during my undergraduate studies and later continued with structural design as a full-time engineer.
This image of my 220B project reflects my first experience using Revit, where I realize how much I could explore if I know more tools and have stronger computational design skills. This is why I’m excited to take this course and learning more in designing resilient, efficient, and aesthetic building.
