Sustainable Design & Construction (Structures)
Hello! My name is Valerie, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sustainable Design and Construction (SDC) focusing in structures. Before coming to Stanford, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering at UC San Diego. I currently work part time as an entry level bridge engineer, and before that, I had completed 4 summer internships in transportation and bridge engineering fields. I am interested in this course as I think it will be interesting to learn more about advanced modeling capabilities and optimization in design. My goals for this course are to develop a working proficiency in both Rhino and Revit to allow me to have a basis for these softwares, should they become useful for industry applications.
