Lavinia Pedrollo is a second-year PhD student in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University. Lavinia’s PhD research focuses on improving the design of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Her goal is to make these systems more efficient and environmentally friendly by developing ways to measure their performance early in the design process. She is also using generative AI and Reinforcement Learning to automate and optimize the design of MEP systems’ supports. She will be your class instructor and she is experienced with Autodesk Revit and Dynamo, Rhino, 3D modeling, BIM, dynamic programming, Python coding, and machine learning.

Experienced in Revit, Dynamo, Rhino, and various building performance tools, Jayant is particularly passionate about BIM and VR. He aims to be a driving force in innovation and sustainability within the industry.

Chuting is a 2nd-year master’s student of Structural Engineering under Civil and Environmental Engineering. She got BEng in Civil and Environmental Engineering and minor in Economics from Penn State University. With experience in Revit and Dynamo, She enjoys developing automated workflows to enhance efficiency and precision in structural modeling and design. She is excited to explore innovative methodologies to address complex structural challenges and drive meaningful advancements in the industry.

Ina Natseva

Ina is a first year master’s student in Management Science and Engineering focusing on technology management. She holds a MEng in Engineering and Architectural Design (triple accredited across Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering) from University College London. She has work experience in civil, construction management and facade engineering at Mott MacDonald and Buro Happold. Her top interests are applications of new technologies and cross industry collaborations. She has worked extensively on projects in parametric design and optimization and built custom tools. She is most experienced with Rhino, Grasshopper and the whole zoo (if you’ve used rhino you know what this means).
