  • Aesthetically designed in a sense that it does not look too "scientific"

Team B - Resilient Recyclers

Point of View Statement

[A middle-aged father named Andrew] needs [a product that indicates if a food item is safe and healthy for consumption] because [he often purchases an excess amount of groceries and misses their expiration dates, leading to food being wasted.]

Our product is a biodegradable label that changes color and texture according to the freshness of foods.

The simplest version of this product that delivers value and meets the challenges of this POV statement will have these essential features:

  • Biodegradable: our stickers can be composted and recycled
  • Color-changing: starts off with a green color when the food is fresh, changes to yellow when the food is near expiration, and changes to red when the food is completely inedible
  • Changes texture: similar to the color feature, the sticker starts smooth when the food is fresh and turns completely rough when the product becomes inedible
  • Time indicator (?): indicates the time left on a food product's freshness

Reliable Kate needs a personal, portable power source (that is reliable, on-trend, feature-rich) because she wants to be sustainable and appear trendy (known that she's sustainable)

Our product is a portable power station optimized for modern technology and recharged with solar energy. Offering individualization, high flexibility, multiple-use function, and long-term usage.

The simplest version of this product that delivers value and meets the challenges of this POV statement will have these essential features:

  • Durable to withstand different temperatures, waterproof protection, and survive some smaller drops.
  • The main function is the ability to both generate and store solar energy effectively.
  • Features simplistic design that is user-friendly with trendy features and color as well personalization options.
  • The product features high flexibility in light-weight, adoptable to different purposes and easy to carry with.
  • The essential feature that promotes sustainability is the product is made from recycled materia, the life-span of the product reaches up to 4-5 years and when a product is damaged the product includes recycling services and reperation.
