Key Findings from the Interview
- What is important to you from a brand-perspective when buying products?
- What do you pay the most attention to when considering sustainability aspects?
- Would you be willing to spend more money on a sunstainable product?
Given that I have established the habit to research brands before buying products (at least when I am spending a bit larger sums), it turns out that I have become quite critical concerning their mission and various related sustainability aspects. What also is interesting for me to know is whether or not the company is emissions-free.
What I am concerned about is the total life cycle of the products, including both the direct as well as indirect impacts it has on the environment! Some key metrics that I usually like to know about are: of what materials does the product consist? How it is manufactured and transported? Besides the environmental issues I care a lot about the social aspect, basically asking myself how they treat the employees. But these are just some examples.
Yes sure. I mean, I see it from a different perspective: most products today are underpriced. So I am happy to pay for all potential externalities that are not factored into the original pricing.
