Vac Marine: Preliminary Concept (1 Brief Paragraph)
Vac Marine is a visionary concept to reduce pollution in our oceans by 2054. Based on a general concern within our team that sea levels will continue to rise, together with the plastic waste in our aquatic systems - we are motivated to address both of these issues in one approach: An energy efficient cruise ship, taking routes based on natural currents, that builds itself on its journey. Equipped with highly advanced 3D printers, collected plastic waste is use as filament to directly print new modules that scale the ship itself - making it more spacious for new passengers and more impactful in collecting trash. But who are these passengers? Targeting the existing, main customer base of cruise ships; Seniors, we will accessibly welcome them on board of Vac Marine, transforming their otherwise resource intense way of traveling into a sustainable way of exploration that cleans our oceans on the go.
