Placing Doors

Use the Door tool to insert a door into an existing wall. Before placing the door, select the desired door type in the Properties panel on the right-hand side or from the drop-down menu in the top toolbar.

Then click the wall where you would like the door to be placed.

Workflow

  • Choose the Floor level to be modified in the Floor Plan menu.

  • Select the Door tool in the Floor Plan toolbar.

  • Select the desired Door Type. You can:
    • Choose a Door Type that has already been used from Library items in the Doors palette.

    • Or, choose a new Door Type from the Top Toolbar.

  • Click the wall where you would like the door to be placed.

Choose an Existing Door Type or Create a New Type

The door elements you add will have a Door Type that determines their Width and Height.

  • Click the Add Door tool in the Top Toolbar to display the Door Types menu, where you can:
    • Select the desired Door Type to be placed.
    • Click the + Create New button to define a new window type to be used.
