Workflow
- Choose the Floor level to be modified in the Floor Plan menu.
- Select the Wall tool in the Floor Plan toolbar.
- Use the contextual menu to choose how the wall will divide the space.
- Divide units: New enclosed areas will become a unit
- Divide rooms: New enclosed areas will become a room within an existing unit
- Select the desired Wall Type and Alignment from the Walls palette.
- Draw the new wall segments in the canvas.
Choose an Existing Wall Type or Create a New Type
The wall elements you add will have a Wall Type that determines their thickness.
- Click the Wall Type Selection to display the Wall Types menu, where you can:
- Select the desired Wall Type to be used as you draw new walls.
- Click the + Create New Wall button to define a new wall type to be used.
Specifying the Wall Alignment
You can also control the wall alignment, which determines how the wall is positioned relative to the line you draw - left, center or right.
- Choose the alignment that best fits your intended layout before or during placing the wall.
