Placing Windows

Use the Window tool to insert a window into an existing wall. Before placing the window, select the desired window type in the Properties panel on the right-hand side or from the drop-down menu in the top toolbar.

Then click the wall where you would like the window to be placed.

Workflow

  • Choose the Floor level to be modified in the Floor Plan menu.

  • Select the Window tool in the Floor Plan toolbar.

  • Select the desired Window Type. You can:
    • Choose a Window Type that has already been used from Library items in the Windows palette.

    • Or, choose a new Window Type from the Top Toolbar.

  • Click the wall where you would like the window to be placed.

Choose an Existing Window Type or Create a New Type

The window elements you add will have a Window Type that determines their Width and Height.

  • Click the Windows tool in the Top Toolbar to display the Window Types menu, where you can:
    • Select the desired Window Type to be placed.
    • Click the + Create New button to define a new window type to be used.
