In an Elevation view, you can adjust the sightline you are inspecting the view by repositioning the section line that appears. For example, you can use an Elevation view to display:
- The building’s exterior facade
- Or, a section cut through the building parallel to that facade
Moving an Elevation View’s Cut Plane
- Switching the building thumbnail in the top right of the elevation mode from 3D to 2D.
- Then drag the section line to the location that you’d like to view this elevation from.
Creating an Exterior Elevation
- If you drag the section line to the exterior of the building facade, you’ll see an Elevation view that shows the exterior of the building.
Creating a Building Section
- If you drag the section line to the interior of the building facade, you’ll see a Section view that exposes the interior of the building. Note: You may need to Hide the Technical Details using the Visualization Options menu to see the interior.
