Configuring Claude Desktop

• Open the Claude Desktop app.
• Open Settings.
• Go to the Plugins tab.
• Search for, and then add the revit-bim plugin.
• Go to the Developer tab.
• If the Revit MCP server is not listed as a Local MCP server, click the Edit Config button.
• Insert the following JSON code into the claude_desktop_config file.

Notes about editing the JSON file:

• When inserting this code into an existing JSON config file, be sure to:
• Adjust the file path to match the version of the MCP Server you have installed.
• Add a comma at the end of the last JSON command (before the new code)
• Check that the final bracket (enclosing all the JSON code) is balanced.
