Differentiating Proposal Layers versus Base Layers

Proposal Layers versus Base Layers

  • All elements that you add to a proposal get grouped in a layer in the Layers menu on the left.
  • Proposal Layers — contain elements that are contained only in this proposal.
  • Base Layers — contain common elements that are shared across several proposals, typically the site context elements.

Base Layers are Grouped into a Base

  • Every proposal is linked to a Base (with all of its Base layers).
  • Proposals linked to the same Base all display the same context elements. The elements in the base layers stay consistent across all proposals that use the same Base.
  • Any edits to the elements in the Base layers appear in all the proposals linked to that Base.
