Customizing the Area Metrics and Properties

You can edit the existing area metrics and properties or create custom ones as needed.

  • In the Area Metrics panel, click the gear icon in the top right corner to open Area Settings.
  • Use the left-hand menu to choose whether they apply at Unit level or Room level.

Edit or Create Custom Metrics

Custom Metrics allow you to define relevant calculations based on existing properties and values.

Create a New Metric

  1. Click the “+” button in the Metrics section.
  2. Enter a name for the metric.
  3. Define the ruleset that determines how the metric is calculated.

Edit an Existing Metric

  1. Select the metric from the Metrics list.
  2. Adjust the defined settings as needed.

Edit or Create Custom Properties

Custom Properties allow you to define additional attributes with relevant values.

Once created, these properties can be:

  • Used to define new area metrics
  • Used for labeling or classification

Create a New Property

  1. Click the “+” button in the Properties section.
  2. Enter a name for the property.
  3. Define the relevant values.

Property values can also be assigned directly in the Properties panel while working in 3D view or Floor Plan view.
