Selecting Elements on the Canvas
Selection and the Tab Key
- Similar to Revit, pressing the Tab key cycles through selectable objects that are close to your cursor.
- This allows you to toggle between overlapping or nearby elements and select the intended object more easily.
Selection filter
- The Selection Filter allows you to define which categories of elements can be selected.
- By limiting selection to specific object types, you can work more efficiently and avoid unintentionally selecting other elements.
Using the Mouse to Control Your View
Use the following controls to navigate within the canvas:

Orbit the view | Right-click and drag | Two-finger press and drag |
Pan the view | Press Shift + right-click and drag
Or, click and drag using the middle mouse button | Press Shift + two finger press and drag |
Zoom the view | Scroll with the mouse wheel | Press Cmd/Ctrl + two finger press and drag up or down |
- To orbit the view: right-click and drag.
- To pan the view: press Shift + right-click and drag, or click and drag using the middle mouse button.
- To zoom: scroll with the mouse wheel.
