If you’ve been working in Forma Site Design, there’s no need to create a new site for Forma Building Design.
- The same Project site — including the terrain and context data — can be used in both tools.
- Building forms that you’ve created in Forma Site Design can be converted to Building Design elements for further development.
- You can return to Forma Site Design at any time to:
- Adjust the terrain - for example, adding a Terrain Pad to create a level building site.
- Add or adjust the other site elements that impact your building design.
Creating a Level Building Site on Sloping Terrain
If your buildings will be located on sloping terrain, use a Terrain Pad to create a level building site before creating the buildings. Each building’s first floor elevation will be set to the elevation of the terrain at the first point that you click while sketching the footprint.
